I started my career in engineering before moving into pre-sales and eventually spending 15 years in enterprise SaaS sales across the US, India, and Southeast Asia.
I've seen how much depends on a customer conversation. The questions asked, the information uncovered, and the decisions made in real time often determine what happens next.
My education took me to IIM Mumbai, but most of what I've learned came from customer conversations, missed quarters, and carrying a sales quota.
